A few years ago I wrote about how the San Diego Housing Commission was basically pain in the butt. But this year I've needed their help once again and this time they got their act together. Maybe it's because I'm a veteran or maybe it's because I'm a single mother I'm not exactly sure. When I reached out to the San Diego Housing Commission it was through Vash. In a heartbeat I receive phone calls from the San Diego Housing Commission willing to work with me and help me find are you in it now I have been on the Section 8 waitlist since 2007 and originally was told it's a 10-year waiting list it's my turn. They've moved very swiftly and they're helping me and my daughter to avoid homelessness. Congratulations San Diego Housing Commission your process has improved greatly and I am very appreciative for the help I am receiving I'm hoping to be back on my feet in no time thanks again.
Living poor in San Diego
Blast San Diego! As a native San Diegian of 43 years old I will write in this blog about San Diego non profit services that are supposed to provide services to the underprivileged. This blog will outline my experiences during my quest for social services within San Diego- Food Stamps, CIU, Neighbor to Neighbor, Interfaith, YMCA, VA and many others. Stay tuned and feel free to drop you two cents about your experiences
